Residential property is land on which are situated (or in the course of construction) not more than two places of residence, vacant land on which the construction of a single place of residence is not prohibited by law or strata lot/s compromising not more than one place of residence alone, under 2.5 hectares.
Rural land is land that is used or apparently intended to be used for gain or profit from grazing, horticulture, the growing of crops and vegetables, orcharding or livestock. Whether it is used for that purpose or not, under the law when it is apparently intended for that use, and over 2.5 hectares it is classified as rural.
Commercial property refers to buildings or land that is intended to generate a profit, either from capital gain or rental income including industrial, offices, retail, subdivisions, service stations, shopping centre and more.
